I was doing some picking today, and came across a clock around 3ft in Diameter.
It is white with red neon that works, has a red indian head in the center.
The Neon says Indian Head Gasoline and the clock has this printed right below the neon too.It does have Patina, and doesnt look like a repo.
Has anyone seen one of these, or have any idea of a value?
The fellow wants a lot of money for it, so Im trying to get some info before I go back tomorrow
I cant find any info on it on the net, so I hope you guys can help with a pic and a value?
    Thanks for the help

  2. Faking a flat sign isn't easy. Faking an entire clock - inside & out - would be next to impossible. Having looked at a lot of old crap through the years, (& I'm sure you have too) I wouldn't have any worries about determining it's authenticity. If you think it is old, I bet it is.

Some of what I found on "Indian":

That clock could be worth thousands. I'd guess $1500-2500 to the right collector for a relatively quick sale - perhaps more at the right auction.

From what you have posted here before on old stuff, you should have the skills to know "for sure" if it's fake. Look it over real good, because modern clock guts may hurt the value if it is a genuine item. I don't think newly replaced neon tubes will hurt the value.

A 3' neon clock would fit right in as a centerpiece in a big collection of porcelain signs. I'd be guessing at a price, but if it's a real showy looking piece with great colors, it adds to the price in a big way. Real old is better than 50s IMO

Im almost embarassed to say that I got a good look at the clock today and it is totally home made, still cool to have on the wall, but not worth what the guy wanted.I didnt look at it much yesterday and convinced myself that I wanted it on the way home.If I want something I make it into some rare great item, but Im glad I took a good close look today, I didnt buy it.
Sorry I wasted your time with this post, I should have taken the clock down and looked yesterday.
Here are a few pics of his other stuff, but nothing else was for sale...........YET!
