I've been debating which taillights I should sink into the roll pan on my truck. (54 chevy) I've been considering 1950 pontiacs, model A's, stock 54's or something different altogether. I know you guys got an opinion...so let's hear it Here is a rough photoshop mock of what I was thinking.
Maybe '49 Mercury lights on the fenders? I think they look pretty cool on pickups. The '50 Pontiac is always a safe bet, too. Simple and time-tested.
The 50 Ponchos are done to death though, I have them, I sure am going to look into something different. They don't look bad they just look so usual.
Want something a little different? How about some early 30's Chevy car tail lights. Clean and cl***y.
'46 Chevy car taillights look good in that roll pan. The '50 poncho lights look kinda like frog eyes there. The look real good in other applications, but there's not much sheetmetal there above and below. I think the Merc lights would look killer in the fenders, too. Just my opinion.
A pair of 39 Chevrolet p***enger car lights off the bed sidechannel might be nice, a little small in the lens department though.
My favorites because they are not reproduced. It takes more than a credit card to find them. 42-47 Buick's.
