Model A serial number?

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by HotRod28AR, Mar 25, 2005.

  1. Can someone tell me where to look for the serial number on the actual car (if there is one)? I would go by the engine number, but I belive it is a factory replacement engine and it will be coming out anyway. Thanks,

Vin number is under the body, on the frame, driver's side, just before the firewall.

Just before if you are looking from the rear...

It's UNDER the cowl on top of the frame just aft of the first bolt hole.
You can't see it without taking the body off!

I have read that not all frames have it. It would match the original engine number. For ***le why not use the number on the current A motor,***uming it's not registered by somebody else.
