i need a frame rail mount brake pedal/master cylinder ***embly for my 33 chevy build. i've been told to go with a frame rail mount to save space on firewall, and more strength to the pedal itself. right now its a low hp car maybe 200 + - 85 corvette 350, 700r4 combo. maybe someday replacing motor with 350-400 hp, so the brakes need to work well. disc front, drum back. do you hambers have any favorites????? thanks, harp
Here's one that I've used; Manual Click here: JEGS Performance Products 631304 JEGS Universal Frame Mount Pedal ***emblies Power Click here: JEGS Performance Products 631305 JEGS Universal Frame Mount Pedal ***emblies Good quality and the price is right!
I have a 33 Chevy Cabriolet. All 33 Chevy frames were the same. I bought my set up from a local hot rod shop. I believe it was a Pete and Jakes for a 32 Ford. I just had to modify the angle on the bracket so it would be parallel with the centerline of the ch***is.
This is what I used. Early '70s' cheby from Camaro, Corvette, mid size. More importantly I used the same porportioning valve that matched the MC. Be sure to put Residual pressure valves in. This keeps from ****ing air back into the wheel cylinders and contaminating your fluid.
I have a brand new brake pedal ***embly,(ch***is eng i think) Corvette master cylinder, and small 7 inch brake booster that I will sell you for $125 plus shipping. It's a generic 32 Ford style unit that could be easily adapted to your needs. Let me know. That is a lot cheaper than buying the pieces. Dale
