firestone ride rite or wrong?

  1. ok fellas i have a pair of ride rite helper bags a pulled out of my 57 chevy truck and was wondering can i run them in my 54 belair rear or is that a bad idea?

    Run them how? as ride ***ist or to lift/lower the car?
     
  3. as to lower the car and lift. i'm running trailing arms only no springs

    I've wondered about that myself actually. Guys are pracitically giving them away on craigslist, and I NEED two more bags...but I've been hesitant.

    They're airbags. Yes they will work. Won't get much lift out of them though.
     
  6. not to worried about the lift part. just that they could take the pressure of a car with no leafs or springs. and i figured since i have them already it will safe me some dough

    Yeah they'll do the job. They support tongue weight of 5th wheels and trailers so i'm sure the weight of a car or truck should be nothing for these bags. They are very heavy duty.
