Customs 1957 Ford Ranchero (Mild Custom - Facelift)

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Nitro-Flattie1, Nov 28, 2010.

  1. Dave - There is some talk of panel work on the roof - still on the fence with the rest of the body - but we are going to dress it up for sure. :D

  2. Thanks!

  3. Thanks for the kind words - Im really liking the dash! LazyV8 deserves 100% credit on that - I was just a helper last night.
To your side note - I really enjoy seeing the builds and tech stuff on this site - unfortunately sometimes it drifts away to "filler" or complaining about car shows - That crap gets old after awhile. :D

  12. Great looking Ranchero!! Thanks for posting all of the progress pictures! I do have a question for you though, I see the tailgate handle has been removed, what are you going to use to latch the tail gate? Also, what are you going to do with your old wheels and tires?

    thanks,

    OH MAN.

I had a chance to see that dash in person at Sac and I was very impressed. The pictures just dont do justice. The fades are amazing. I saw Brandon but he was busy.... Ill have to high five and hand shake him on Saturday.

Car looks good TJ. Or is it a truck?

    great job so far

  17. Thanks Hivolt - As of now the tailgate has a small latch on the inside of the bed that slides left to right that locks it into place. I need to track down the rest of the original tailgate interior mechanism and try to use those componets to be able to open it from the inside of the gate.
The wheels and tires im going to sell after it gets painted. :D

  18. Thanks man! It was good to meet you yesterday. :D

good wheel/tire choice, it all fits within the era/theme of the truck. Nice!

Nitro, Ranchero is looking GREAT ! Love the new wheels and tires - simple but clean. The stance is right on for a mild Kustom Ranchero. Looking forward to your next progress report.
