Well, a few reasons I can think of - they both can be fun & provide lots of pleasure, or NOT. But no matter what, eventually they're both gonna cost $$$$$$$$$ if you want 'em to do anything for ya! :)

I did notice the back fenders are a part of the body. I think you're right on that. I'm no walking encyclopedia of cars so I didn't want to make a statement and look like a fool. :)

I think you have pictures of two different cars. I believe that the top pic is of the original wooden he**** and the bottom pic is the fibergl*** replica.

That is why I said "I think". Maybe somebody who knows for sure will chime in.

I will chime in since I know for sure. It's the original car. We purchased it at the RM Auction of the Ralph Whitworth Collection. The Petersen Museum has the fibergl*** copy of the car in their collection.

    Cool!

Are you planning to put the wheels & tires back to how it was built? I always liked the version with the torque thrust's on it. Does it still run & drive?

I would definitely like to see more pictures of it. Maybe you could start a thread dedicated solely to the Boot Hill Express. I have liked it since I built a model of it when I was a kid.

Do you have any close up pictures of the engine?

  24. I agree. No matter how good they look, someone somewhere is tired of putting up with their ****.
