what size carb is good for 1965 t bird

    i think it has 429? or 492 what ever came stock. its for a friend he needs a carb he can bolt on and go insted of messing around with the stock one that needs rebuilt. what would be a good chose for it. thanks billy

    is it spread bore or standard? i'd go with a edelbrock 750 adapter plate also if need.

    The T-Bird would have come stock with a 390 with an Autolite 4v carb. They are a square bore carb. My choice would be a 600 cfm Holley.

    x2, the stock autolite is not a bad carb and really easy to rebuild btw
