Header builder in orange county

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by 1oldtimer, Mar 12, 2011.

  1. Anyone have a recommendation for a custom header shop in orange county or close. I want to get some headers for my panel and sanderson is the only one that makes ones that MIGHT fit. It's a TIGHT fit, so a good shop is needed.

Just run a sbc, you can get lots of different headers for those.

Circle City Hot Rods, attention to detail - filled the gaps between the runners
    outside and... INSIDE... the collector.
    Well I was impressed!

Isn't Doug's Headers owned by pertronix now and I don't think they do custom work (at least I don't think so by thier web page).

Well I have a few places to call next week.

once upon a time ,(apearantly along time ago judging from the previous responses) in a tight fit situiation people used to make their own headers...not that hard to do weither you take and existing header and rework it or take a header 'kit' and make it to fit,at least thats what i have done.
a few months ago while mocking up my coupe, i made a set of headers for a combo they said wouldnt work,my car is now in the finally stages of ***embly and a hard core car buddy stoppped by today(while headers not on car) he made a comment about what the heck am i gonna do for exhaust becasue of the position of motor to gear box to frame. i pulled out my custom made header (i made!)from my parts pile and fanageld it into place in a mater of seconds to show him how it fitted,,he said "wow, i never woulduv thought" :D ... that kinda personal satisfaction you cant buy!
