Jeff's pirates cove, Two lovers point, Latte stone park, CoCo's island, Talofofo falls, All of the WWII sites(there's a place where some japanese soilder hid for 20+years. I can't remeber where it was though..) If i remember correctly, they also have a thing on wednesday nights called chamorro village where people sell local foods, and there's a bunch of vendors selling random things.
thanks for all the replys, I have been here five or 6 times and I have been to all of the usual places just kind of looking for some car related stuff.
I never got to go there, but the running joke a**** the folks that had said Guam stood for Give up and **********.
Spent 4 hours there once, neverr got off the beach and if I was only going to be there for a couple weeks, I probably still wouldn't get off the beach.
We had a bunch of midshipmen with us one time so we took our midshipmen to the stripclup and payed the strippers to get him up on stage and embar*** him but they got a little crazy and stripped him down to his tighty whiteys and put a dog collar on him walked him around the stage like a dog then strapped him to a big wooden cross and paddled him with a leather paddle. Yeah they have some pretty crazy strip clubs in Guam.
I would doubt if there is any old car stuff there, I hada a buddy that lived there for 10 years, he said after 3 years you could drop a beer can threw the hood of a new car. it seems they have rust issues there.
I was a truck mechanic there in the 1950's at Anderson A.F.B.. A new Chevrolet car would rust out and be un repairable in 4 years. The wood in Ford pick up beds would rot out in a year. They stored World War 2 vintage 6 X 6 trucks outside for possible emergency use but the rust got them also. The rust problem was worse than what I saw in Hawaii or along the Oregon Coast. I think salt from the ocean stays suspended in the clouds and it rains every day there. Besides that, they have giant Solomon Island tree snakes there. The World War 2 Japanese soldiers finally believed WWII was over and went home.
I could ask my dad. But he was there back in the 60's & he said the most fun they had was hoppin' the jeeps to drag them down air strip......& make cocoanut hooch
