You guys haven't convinced me at all! ok maybe as an accent color but ..not screaming with it! and as for the other "pink" references....we are adults here aren't we..... Hey I wasn't making fun of anyone's ride.....the car was FOR SALE! --in the above pic...that was a really horrid chopped 1950 Linc. that was for sale mostly because the guy screwed the chop up and no glass would fit!
One of Dale Earnhardt's first stock cars. The story goes that they were painting the car the day before the race and were trying to mix a purple. Apparently they had too much white and not enough blue.
That would be a cool ride for a chic. Especially a young with with tats. Where were they when I was young?
when I think of pink cars, the image of an overbearing wife dictating to the noodle spine husband who then has to explain to his buddies (if allowed some) that its really a great color, and it was mostly his idea.....
Every one has their own tastes, should we really be so critical as to what catches the eye of another. Take for example this fine auto mobile. And we can also say that everyone is entitled to a mistake or two. Forgive us O Lord those who trespass our field of vision, and we shall fore go trespassing the field of others vision. HAMB men.
x2, and I dont even like customs, but THAT is KILLER! Looks like its straight out of a 1962 Car Craft. Oh, and thats not pink, its magenta.
Anybody remember the pink metalflake Mercury that used to sit by the tower at Minnesota Dragway? I think that one of the operators of the drag strip owned it. I always thought that the car's color was so outrageous that it was bitchin'.
LOVE the grill treatment. Really looks "early sixties". Nice work. Takes guts to really do the period thing.
The Adonis rules.....it looks "correct" because it IS correct.... I forget if that's the original or the clone.....either way bitchin' car...
. It's the recreation, beautifully built by John Schleicher and now with me. Unfortunately the original Adonis sat outside for several years, rusted out and was crushed...
I found it online being completely reworked at a body/custom shop , I have the link on my computer at work did alot of metal work on it.
