Great thread! Would any of the Illinois members happen to remember this '63 Plymouth SS car that was bought new at M.E. Miller Motors in East St. Louis, IL? It was ruby red with the white/black interior and had the high compression MW/T85 combo from the factorywith no radio or heater. It was found in the Springfield area where it resided for the last 40 years or so. It had already been painted black before the last owner bought the car in '77 when he was 16. He added the Ford scoop later on.

Not color but I posted a black & white picture of this car on page 35 of this thread. It wouldn't look much different in color as the car was all black with white lettering.

Here's my 65 Coronet that I put together in my driveway. It started out as a 318 poly, automatic. Now has a 750 hp 528 Hemi, 4 speed, Dana in it. It was a bear getting everything to fit, as the motor has Stage V Mellenium port heads which required special headers and a later model K frame to fit.

Yeah, I remember him. It was only Worthington Dodge ads in those years. Then it was Worthington Dodge ads AND Worthington Ford ads for about 20 years....often on the same channel late at night. Now I think that he only owns Worthington Ford but I'm not positive about that. The ad the other night was for the Ford dealership....I haven't seen one for the Dodge dealership in over 10 years.

  15. Who was your old Boss? Jim Hillock?
John is retired and living in the mainland, BC. He's a "gentleman fisherman" now!
I'm in Halifax, and around Fredericton, NB.
I never raced in the maritimes, but used to attend the races in Pennfield back in the late 1970's.

This thread is the best. I'm looking for pictures of Hayden Proffitt's 1964 Max Wedge cars. He campaigned 3 in the year 1964 along with 1 Race Hemi.

I've been looking for info on the Dick Boynton B/FX trucks for a long time and recently stumbled on this. Did not know that the Southern California Dodge Dealers sponsored a car in 1964 and Mr Boynton was the driver. Looks like the car is still in SoCal awaiting restoration.
