I watched about 5 minutes and had to turn it off, but the few minutes I did watch had Indian Larry winning something (best chop I think) and then they had the Indian Larry Tattoo award who was won by the guy with the mohawk.. (can not remember his name but recognize his bikes)...

I couldn't watch it for very long either. They seemed to have an award for almost everything and the pro-wrestler breaking the beer bottles to anounce each award got old really quick. The bikes are sick but the program itself was" too much show and not enough go".

Cole got 'boned' in my opinion....He built one of the cleanest and sweetest bikes ever...He doesnt need a belt buckle/trophy to show he is a RULER!

It had to be about the silliest awards show ever... Most everything was won by the cartoon bikes.... it was f#cking awful...

That awards ceromony was sad and insulting. I don't mean any disrespect to any of the builders, but the event itself was a hollywood joke. A circus of idiocy if you will.

There where some nice bikes and some horrible abominations.

My favorite was the "Hollywood" award for the "cutest" biker (Cole had those guys beat and wasn't even in the running ;)). The whole thing made it painfully obvious that without Indian Larry their aren't many "real" biker's on T.V.
I mean the kind like my brother-in-law that's had like 3 pairs of jeans in the last 40 years, jailhouse tats, a beard with who knows what in it, 3 missing teeth from bar brawls, Nam flashbacks, a KICKSTART 45 Harley daily driver and a ratty pony tail down his back. You know the guys with the REALLY rough biker momma at home- I haven't seen ONE gnarly "ol lady" on one of these shows- hell you'd think EVERY bike builder dates a Playmate- at least the ones on T.V. do! Were these guys picked for T.V. first, bike building second? Or is it that ugly old bikers just don't build cool bikes?

I like the series in general...but I'm sure sick of seeing evo motors...they just don't sound right.....must be all the billet aluminum in em.

Has anybody ever actually CHOPPED a late model bike? Wow...what a different concept THAT would be!!!....Actually take a sawzall to a new Harley Davidson.....or maybe a hacksaw for the Ol Skool bunch.

I watched the whole thing.... kind of like a car wreck, couldn't look away. I agree the series is cool, but that thing last night...... way to Hollywood. Coles bike is sick.. but there were alot of cool bikes, " not all cartoon bikes" give credit were credit is due some of the paint jobs were awsome. loved the color combination on Hank Young's Bike. Did anybody else notice one of the builders ( I think it was Kendall) getting a lap dance during the second ZZ Top song? The Big Swag was whoring it up just like a Monster Garage episode. That's cool some of the guys are building bikes with hot rod parts.

On the contrary, judging by that picture, I think Cole wins every day of his life.

Hey Sam, I swear there was one just like that going down the freeway today. Whe I came up beside him he was bouncing like crazy, he was only doing about 50mph, and I know why.

Those bikes rule! I really wish they would make a comeback.

  23. That's wrong on so many levels I wouldn't even know where to start. This is the LAST time I check the HAMB before I go to bed...ever. I mean it.

I'm glad I wasn't the only one to notice this.
Kind like the "bikers" I deal with on the job, all engineers who don't have a clue what a 2%er is....
    Where are all the 2%ers?

Now, some of these guys are pretty good builders.
Others like OCC are disasters waiting to happen.
Seeing how so many think OCC makes the best bikes makes me want to build a few to show them even though I'm not a bike builder.
Just because OCC mad dad tries to act like an ***hole doesn't make him a ******** old school biker.

    Cole?
Good builder, seems like a great guy, just seems too clean.
You can tell he has had more showers last week than two of my biker friends in a decade.
    *grin*

The show was pretty retarded. The talent that it takes to build any of those bikes is so way over the top compared to what people were building a few years back, but so much of that talent is just plain misused. !5,000 dollar wheels and 25,000 paint jobs? When did it just turn in to an exhibition of excess to build a cool scooter? Sorry, but some of those bikes were just plain goofy. Skull headlights the shoot flames? Puleeze!! Rooke might be gay but I think his bike got shafted. Less is more in my opinion and he had that cinched. Cole's bike too, super clean and not one part of it that I can find fault with. I like Russels's style and at***ude towards what a bike should be but I think he shot himself in the foot building a trike. Arlen has always been a cl*** act but I never really liked the style of bikes he builds. Shinya (sp?) almost had it right but those teeny handlebars just threw the whole look off. Gotta love the cat smasher front tire though.
Cole, you are a winner no matter what some panel of voters decided. You had some tough compe***ion but probably suffered from lack of outragousness in any given aspect. And that, my friend, I consider a good thing.

  30. Remember when you had to scrounge for everything? V-Twin sells moustraps new in the box and over the counter.
I like the concept, and most of the build off shows are cool. I hate to remind myself that these shows are not produced for us, more for the m***es who just look in coz it's entertaining. I thought the whole show was in constant conflict, was it for kids or was it bad-***. Lotsa good stuff, but way too much wanna-be. I am as sick of the phrase 'old school' as I am 'rat rod'.
