Well got a new toy . Sold the POP one of those folks that really wanted it .Came up from Tenn this am with cash in hand ,so its got a new home . Then found a sweet 55 2dr post only 30 miles from home ,struck a deal and am going to go get it tomorrow. Very clean and straight inside and out ,basic sbc with a 4 speed ,love them 4 speeds. Best part is the POP money paid for the 55. I will get some more and better pics when its home tomorrow. Only downside is rain for the next 5 days ,but that will work givin me a few days to go thru it. Im excited had couple 55's over the years and always felt bad when they were gone.....

Big Block, hood scoop, 427 w/dual quads, fenderwell headers, black Naug diamond tuck, Cragars what's not to love? Make it a **** nasty street racer - that thing has a ton of potential. Schweeeeet score....

Knock those cars off & get some moons or something from Mooneyes, leave the beaty rings. It'll look like a new car and cost maybe $100. That's what I did when I first got my 55 Chevy Wagon.

Traditional or not those rallies have always looked like they should have came factory on a 55,and I personally would rather have those caps that are on it than moons. but thats just my .02

I do like the old style torq thrust or cragars etc, tho.

Leave the stance just the way it is. All I'd do is swap out the Rallies for 5 slots (Ansens). I'm still kickin' myself for selling my first car, a '55 BelAir Hardtop for $250.oo back in '72. Any pics of the POP?

IMO, that car would look great with grey-spoke Americans and blackwall tires.

Love the '55! Reminds me of the one I owned back in 1971! I
m not a fan of the little top hat caps either. I'm running custom moons on my OT car with SS caps and smaller hotrod rings.

After letting 3 '55's slip through my fingers over the years I"m prepared to make an effort to keep the next one................should I be so fortunate to come across another that I can afford. I'm loosing hope that will ever happen as the combined price of the first three won't make a down payment on one today.:(

Very nice looking '55. I think I would just drive that one for awhile before changing much.

Pop - Ford Popular a basic version of the Anglia which is the generic term used in the U.K. for all of the 'sit up and beg' model 103E....
