WOW! How did I miss this post? Jack was a really good friend of mine! If I remember right Jack still had this car up until his passing in Golden, Colorado. He had so many picture albums it was incredible!! His daughter, Jackie still lives in Golden and worked at the NAPA auto parts store there. Jack raced at Harpers, Muroc, El Mirage, Bonneville and was one of the head mechanics on the Kenz and Leslie Streamliner. I know that the Denver Roadsters may have some old pictures of Jack and his roadster. Hell, contact Darrell MAyabb! He loves to talk cars and he too was a good friend of Jack's.

Great story, good luck with the rebuild. The Mooneyham/Sharp Coupe had a second life as an East Coast car after they sold it, that may have something to do with it being in Florida now. Bob

  5. I was thinking about military guys and hot rods this morning with Veterans Day being tomorrow.

I was looking for the photo of sailors in a hot rod but I thought there was one with two young guys.

I did run across this painting. HRP

Darrel Mayhab did the painting from the photograph.
