Just because sombody has the talent and money to build cars dosen`t mean everything thing they build is a work of art. This is a statement in general not pertaining to anybody in paticular. Nobody hits the ball out of the park everytime there up to bat. Allthough, there are people on this forum that will ARGUE that.

Personally i'm not one of the Jesse haters but that is the first chopped 36 i've not liked. And not just for the chop. No wonder people are walking away in the photo!

What is it that you guys dislike about the chop?

  19. I don't care who owns it, its wrong! Barris built some nice cars, he also built some shockers but he is still a king of customs!

I think if the tail wasn't draggn, it would look better overall, including the roof. What was the question again? Gary

I bet if he chimed in, these guys would be kissing his ***.

  22. A, Too much.
B, Too square, should flow WAY more through the back.
This just looks like its been squashed down. It looks like extra length has been added between the A and B pillars to get it all lined up. It would look better without that extra length and slant the B pillar to make up that length.
Then give it a graceful C pillar/rear roof shape with a Zephyr like curve.

Could also do with spats and a real 36 grille, then it would be perfect.
    (No matter who owned it)

I'm with you, Doc. I like '36s, but this one just looks awkward.

Claiming that those who do not like the looks of this car are haters, is like hollering racism every time somebody doesn't like what the current president is doing. Get real, Jesse isn't going to make a big hit just because he picks up the bat. He does great work...this 36 just isn't an overall example of that.

agreein' with Doc...something just isn't right, and when I read his list...that's what it was that my eye was not liking. I'm not a Jesse hater by any means...I've appreciated most of what he's done (with mechanical things, that is), but haven't always LIKED it all. I'm just as sure JJ wouldn't care for some of the stuff I've built. Doesn't mean I don't know what I'm doing...and vice versa.
