rear main oil seal

Just got a nos rear main oil seal ( rope design) for my 1950 ply.
I know I have to drop the pan and remove the rear main cap. Is there any special tool for installation or removal of old seal? Any advice on this
subject is well appreciated.

got the same problem on a flathead, looking for information. I think you can still buy the tool to pull the old seal and install a new one, ( I think)
