I had to replace my old harmonic balancer on a Chrylser 331 today. I had some issues getting the new one on using a balancer install tool. My question is:

I looked at the old balancer and took a measurement of where the crank line was. by the looks of it, the new balancer measures the same. But im not too sure if its on all the way. Heres a side view of the new balancer is it looks now. Does this look correct?

Im hoping that the balancer sleave is in enough to make a good seal with the oil seal on the timing chain cover.

Although it is a light press fit, it should not be a major pain to seat. Best bet is to remove it, clean the snout with emery, run a very light hone through the bore, or both, and use never seize as a lube.

It does not require a BFH!!
