I've been playing with cars and car parts since I was about 10. I grew up working (s****ing floors, cleaning tools, lapping valves and other general lackey work) in my dad's custom shop. I grew up in the NASCAR family and now that my kids are grown, wouldn't you know it, Dad's health has failed him and I have inherited the shops and his projects. I plan to finish them with support from fellow Hot Rodders like you guys. There are lots of parts to be shared a**** everyone. He was a collector and at some level even a hoarder. It will take some time to sort through it but I'm sure there is something here for everyone. God Bless Dad and God Bless the Hot Rodders. Humble Newby
I'm away from home but I do have a pic of the Ranchero on my laptop.... The plan is to fit IRS then do disc conversions on all four corners. From there I will take out the original ****** (three on the tree) and motor (172 Inline 6) and replace it with a 400 small block Ford from one of our Sprint cars and back it with a four speed truck transmission and gear it for the highway. We'll keep the original paint scheme or mabe throw a white stripe on the sides. This picture was take the first sunny day after we got it home from Dad's in CA.
