Is anyone on here using a Zip's water pump riser on their sbc? I need to know what I need for a lower hose for this setup. I am hoping there might be a part number for a hose or what I need to do to make one up. I have a Walker radiator with the lower outlet on the passenger side. I've included some pics of the riser. Thanks for any info you can give me.

I have one but not quite done yet. I resorted to stainless coragated (sp?) pipe with rubber sleeves in order to get tighter bends.

I talked to Dean Alexander at "The Hot Rod Garage", He used one in an article on building a fan shroud in the May issue of Street Rodder and he said a Dayco 72088 may work, that's what he used.

I am running one on my Model A. I just go to the parts store and they let me go in the back and pick my hoses. I don't recall that this was a very difficult hose to find. What is your exact application? Be sure to drill holes in your thermostat flange to prevent steam/air pockets. This should be in the instructions.

If you search hoses here, someone just gave a part # for this setup.

I just finished mine. Take the dayco belt number and the GM bleeder valve number to your local NAPA. My guy crossed those to napa numbers and had the parts the same day!

I ran the same set up before. I used a ribbed univeral hose on the bottom. Can find one at most parts stores. Was running the zip riser 6 cly. chevy water pump Walker Rad. 38k no problems. There was also a smaller hose that ran from my intake to the riser. Can't remember size, around 5/8"(heater hose) Ran cool all the time ! Great set up

    I use a Gates #20225 lower hose.
The vent number is GM #10070107

Zip's suggest using the pulley # 3995642 for the pump and # 385838 for the bottom pulley.

    I use a Chevy van thermostat housing ( 85 with a 305 ) ... :D
    It goes straight UP :D
