Not really other than we are not in quite the same crime area. The car is garaged and currently the rack is back off and hanging in the rafters. I am not so much concerned with the rack getting stolen by another car guy, more so the gear, and chairs, stroller etc that will be up there that could not fit in the car. I think I had mentioned, we have four boys and new baby girl. As you know with the third seat in there is no room behind it for anything. You guys should take a 1000 mile road trip with it up here then caravan with a bunch of us to Billetproof WA this june!
k...what time should we show up? The roof rack is a good place to put your third seat if it become nessecary too. You got me thinking...I might start looking for a vintage set of crossbars. Threw some blankets over the front seat, and taking it in for the drivetrain surgery tommorrow. Will keep you posted Joe.
Be here friday the 24th at 9am, Ill buy breakfast! Good call on the storage of the 3rd seat. Most don't realize these cushions don't fold flush in the floor like the newer ones. Good luck in the drivetrain issue. I need to get a 700r4 in mine before the trip as well.

Yes, that you-tube video was done by the gentleman Frank who sold us the car. He's a good guy and kept the car very well. We are looking forward to getting the car back after the drivetrain swap. Nice. Good luck. I have been fascinated with the '56 9-passengers since I was able to drive. Not sure why...they are wagons! First car was a '55 210 wgn becaue the '56 B/As were too rare even back then. Found a few nice ones since, and am trying to get a 2 owner one here in NV right now. Good luck. Had me going saying there was one on here - thought I had missed it...it's a nice custom '56 210 2-dr, though. I'd say I'd help find the hard-to0-find trim and interior parts, but that car is missing "0" rare stuff! Wow.
Actually, there are a couple corner pieces missing from the spare-tire cover piece but I am just storing the original for now. The previous owner had an OK stereo mounted under the dash of this car and a subwoofer cabinet standing behind the 3rd seat. I have an autistic step-son who is very into music and he loved the way this sounded. The free-standing weight of the sub cabinet was unsafe, so when I had the interior done I had a custom piece of M.D.F. made to replace the spare-tire cover for now with a circle cut out, and a grill with carpeting over it. I have a subwoofer located under it in the spare-tire bay. This is probably the silliest thing I've done with the car so far (completely reversable though) but like I said elsewhere, it is being used as a family car. Have a great day.
Hi folks. Drivetrain is in... Built 350 / 700 r4 trans Hedman 68120 headers MSD, etc radiator / trans cooler have been relocated to the forward side of the front crossmember. Exhaust will go on tomorrow. Thx and have a great day.

Hell-o all... Almost done dialing this in... 350 (30 over) 1971 4-bolt camaro block...Edelbrock aluminum head / air-gap intake & Eldelbrock carb..MSD......700 r4 trans Headman long tube - dual Flowmaster 40 series Delta-flow w/H- pipe Radiator / trans cooler was relocated to front of crossmember. Had the underside of the hood re-finished while it was off & various detailing under the hood. Drove the car for the first time today w/the new running gear....CoMpLeTEly different car. Amazing.....1st gear is pretty low which more than makes up for the change I made several months ago from 3:55 to a 3:36 rear gear. Unfortunately have to make a stop at the trans shop next week for some tweaks as I can't get 4th gear. The build came out very clean and the stance is perfect...(perhaps 1/4 inch lower in the front) I have never done a project like this before...always just nursed the car I ended up getting...very cool and hopefully will run for a long time. hello car looks great. i was wondering it you could help me out, i'm working on a 56 9 passenger wagon and the car owner got the third seat from somewhere. i dont know if i have all the pieces nor do i know how the back seat work's. can i get you to take some pics or video of the third seat in down position and how the seats hook on to the back piece of wood and the hinge for me. I would be grateful.
I am sure he'll respond, too but the third seat cushions come out to fold the board flat...that's why finding them WITH the car is next to impossible. I would get you some photos but the 3rd seats I have are not in a car to "model" the installation...maybe the original poster will give us some detail shots in there!

OK robyracer...finally...sorry for the delay. The 3rd seat seatback clips into the oval cutouts in the (now vertical) floor panel when it's in position, and the seat-bottom has protrusions built into the wire-work which anchor into square hole in the floor. The whole assembly leans back onto the "legs" which swivel up from the back of the car. Hope these pictures help...they're not the best so let me know. Have a great day all.
Yuk...Now I realize I gotta take these chrome legs off my car & clean them up. I have been running the car as a daily-driver here in Los Angeles for a week or so since the rebuild and sort of breaking things in. Everything works really well and the car is awesome (I also had the lower control-arm bushings done which made a HUGE difference) The front of the car seems lighter and way easier to drive overall, and the drivetrain is insane. I did speak w my mechanic several times cause my oil-pressure gauge is pinned at 80 all the time the engine is running....idle in neutral, in gear, under accel, etc. Could be a problem with the gauge, but it has me a bit nervous. My guy said not to freak out about it and run the engine for a few more weeks to see if the pressure drops. Thx and have a great day.
Ours is at the paint shop now. I picked up lots of new parts, rubber, tailights etc. After it is painted I am thinking of pulling the 265 and doing a 350 and 700r4 before summer gets going
