So I ran the miles, 450 miles. Doesn't bother me if the price is right and the car is worth it. Getting a title is no problem for me in ND. I would not mind having it as a daily driver.

  4. The car isn't worth a lot to many of us. Like I said I would cruise it if I had it. But it is worth more in parts than you would probably get selling it out right.

I still think that you could post it in the class ads at a reasonable price as parts for your hot rod and it would be snapped up. That way for sure whoever wanted it for the engine tranny combo would be able to hear it run.

Damn, it's not too hard to put it on Craigslist for $500, someone will come get it for that price I'm sure.

  7. NOT A CAR GUY are you kidding me check my profile!!Where I grew up Caddys were old guys cars so I really have had 0 intrest.... I think some consider their cars to be the greatest only because they can't afford the cars they really long to own. But Hey different strokes for different folks!!!! I guess if owning a 32 ford over a 65 caddy makes me a car hater then::::: WHERE DO I SIGN UP FOR MY MONTHLY NEWSLETTER??

  10. You don't know what to do but your title is Kelly's Hot Rod Parts?
This looks like a thinly disguised ad to me.

Here's a question... is there an "official" Caddy engine swapping thread here somewhere (yes I looked). I always thought a 472/500 would rock in a 50s-60s pickup.

I call bullshit. You're a car guy, who's moniker here is "Kellys Hot Rod Parts", with a '65 Caddy and you have no idea if anybody would be interested in the engine trans, or whether it's desireable enough to even bother to try to sell? Your time to valuable to spend all of 5 minutes putting an ad here, on Craigs List or ebay? Really?

I am going through the process right now of obtaining a title. Despite what people say it isn't that big of a deal. All you need is a bill of sale (it is a blue form, you can ask for it at the DMV), a VIN inspection form, and a police officer to verify the vin. You may need to obtain insurance for the bonded title. If you don't want to do it yourself you can fill out a bill of sale for the next guy to make his life easier.

Yup, i call shenanigans on the deal

  16. I have had various engines in a lot of different bodys and I nor any of my friends have ever run any Caddy stuff. I do not sell any Caddy parts at my shop and have said from the beginning I do not know anything about them just wondering if the engine and trans are worth pulling. As for pics the car is presently under 15-17 inches of snow... So at this time all I was asking if its worth saving not if anyone wants it . I just hate the idea of junking stuff someone could use....... wow this seems like a lot of drama over a simple question...

'65 and '66 cads have a nice looking dash... and the headlight setup is cool! (i'd take the cad off your hands if it was closer... 3000 miles for the round trip would cost me almost a thousand bucks! (besides... my wife wouldn't understand.)

  22. OK the snow is off the car and turns out to be a 66 fleetwood. Found the owners manual and some extra parts in the trunk, the interior and seats are in great condition. I will put pics up tomorrow. I am also going to put it on parts for sale and tear parts off as they sell, great parts car,I didnt know it was this nice.it has been sitting behind my shop .............the car is an abandoned vehicle left at my shop years ago so no title.....

Don't strip it! Besides, they're really not worth much in parts. I'm sure someone will want the whole thing! I know, I know, if only I was closer... =(
