Can anyone tell me if Henry used flat as well as crowsfoot stamps in 34 Ford coupe wheelwells, Mine are flat but I need to strip the paint to see if they are changed. I have seen flat on a 33 and sedan but not a coupe.
    Thanks Mike

33 coupes were flat also;I also expect some carry over to early 34.

Early '34 bodies had the smoot (flat) wheel wells. The later '34 bodies had the crow's foot stamping. Apparently, Ford believed in allowing the cars to "evolve" - or maybe is was just to use up the leftovers.:)

Ford cars and other vehicles were always having running changes made to both ch***is and body ***emblies as production and field use showed a need for a better idea.
