Some of vintage hot rods, customs and race cars that were on display at the NHRA GatorNationals race last weekend, including Big's Ford convert (cabriolet?) and, my favorite, a little red roadster built by Karl Kinser (the famous WOO tuner for Steve). Gary
Sorry, but no. There were other cars in that display area (two of which I saw on I-75 on Sunday afternoon heading south) but they were not as nostalgic to me - street or strip-wise - as the ones I photographed. Sorry if I left anyone out, then. Gary
There was also a parade of almost all the cars in the display area before the Final Round on Sunday afternoon. 60 cars in the dsiplay commemorating the 60th Anniversary of NHRA. As a side note: the little red Kinser roadster has been owned by the current owners since 1960. Very nice couple and they love their car. Below pic from the staging lanes Sunday afternoon before the parade.
In addition to the Display of 60 Cars and the parade, there was also a push start Cacklefest which included the Lyndwood Welding Special FED. Hopefully someone has some photos.
This link will show the push start and fire up of the Lyndwood Welding Spl. Enjoy! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0xOC3VJ8Qf0&feature=channel_video_***le
