The wire that moves the wipers on my 52 Packard broke..... I wanted to asked what type of wire is a good replacement ..... I meant as well fix them both whole I have it apart... plus where could I pick some up ?
You are talking about the cable? they are cable wipers with vacumm motor right? There is probably an exact replacment cable for your wipers at an online packard catalog store. Or if you can't find anything you may try going to a good hardware store with a piece of th cable in hand and buying a piece of the same size cable.
Biggest problem with building a cable is getting ends that work and stay on! If they aren't properly swaged they wont hold very long. Ask me how I know!
