A727 fit?

Does anyone know if the bolt pattern from a 318, torque flite will bolt directly to my 1968 383.

Is there any basic things to ask someone selling a ******, or any way to take a guess whether it is in decent shape?

 

Fluid color and the 'smell' test is helpful. Pull the pan and check for garbage.
