I got my *** chewed for posting without an intro, so roll up yer pants,, here goes. I am Charlie Rensing, born in LA, raised by a CHP Sergeant who drove a 1937 Ford Woody powered by a Crown Industries bus flathead. He sold it to another CHP officer that cut it into a pickup. I cried. He said, "the rearend howled". Earlier he was a motorcycle dealer and also worked for Floyd Clymer. He also had an Indian dealership back east in Syracuse NY. Skip forward... I now have several vehicles. A 1950 GMC powered by a 04 5.3 LS327, a 1999 C5, a 1981 CJ&(bought it new) powered by a 1999 GM 4.3. A 2005 Dodge truck, and a Sportster(for sale) I live in Scottsdale, with my wife. We have children that have fled (thank God). 2 males: last I checked. All the hammerin, welding, grinding, and cussing comes from my garage. I don't like to have other people work on my vehicles unless they have specialized equipment that I don't have. It gives me the willies. At the moment I am working with Brian Crawford(maybe you know him) on a Bonneville bike that we expect to set new records with this September. It will be high tech EFI, and lots of machining and dyno time. We will probably have burgers or take out pizza for dinner tonight(Friday), as my wife has been working all day, and I am still pissed off about the Interstate battery ********. Your pal, Charlie
Interstate...what?! Being pissed is good for the blood system just not worth a **** for the blood vessels; there is a difference, (or so I'm told) but what do I know?! I don't pretend to be a doctor and I hope they don't pretend to be a mechanic, least not mine! Welcome Charlie...we'll get along just fine!!...wb
