Why not bolt on an old trunk ? That would look good, either that or a fuel tank.

You like T bucket pick-ups? You could take 5 minutes with a piece of cardboard and decide if you like it.

I know it's your truck, but I'd design a hood long befor spending time worring about a bed.

Its your truck and I can see a ton of work that you have put into it. What several of the posts have tried to say is that it appears somewhat out of proportion. Looks as if the floor shift may not even make it into the cab. Maybe someone can photoshop the body moved forward. Your car sits good, looks great from the rear. My thoughts are to leave the bed off to better expose the rearend. Again, my thoughts.

definitely need to move stuff around: both the engine and the cab need to move forward to give you a better look.

I really like your framework...lot's of work, and shows nicely!!
If it were mine, I would build a narrow enough box to show off that framework!!
    Nice rig...I like it..
    Keep us posted..

  15. thanks for the help guy. FOR some reason i knew someone would photeshop a real bed (sleaper!!!!) on my truck. believe it the shifter is right where i want it or should be . It was supposed to be set up for no bed.just thought a 40" t-style bed may make it look cool. i may run a hood, just want this look taken care of first. thanks again for all the help.

Please dont take this the wrong way, but your defiance of the laws of physics may be your undoing.

the frame hieght in front of the rear kickup and under the cab is what 2" tall?

the holes in the front frames rails are too large and leaves you with a front frame that is essentially 2" tall as well.

    Scary stuff yo.

  17. Trust me it will look better with a bed. I understand that your shifter is where you would like it to land but your engine is way too far from the firewall to look right.

I don't know that I could photoshop anything on there that would look correct but I will try and describe what would look correct. Your bed needs to be a little longer behind the wheels than it is in front of the wheels. i would try and find a bed with a reveal for the fenders and put the tires centered in the reveal.

What would be real sharp would be a 39-41 front end and 39-41 rear fenders. Perhaps even extend the rear fenders a little past the bed for a real custom look. Building it the way that you have has lost the hauler look for you so custom is a good way to salvage the build.

Oh yea unless you are a late model "R" rod type a bobber is also a lady of the night.

  21. I'm not a photoshopper, but I added a bed and moved the front end around to give the truck better proportions. Right now it looks a like a shoe. Why is the front end so long and the rear end so short? Please rethink those proportions.

thats a lot of nice work wasted . man that thing is so out of proportion.
