That looks like a hell for solid body and straight frame and the rest of the car is probably around there somewhere. If you get it and decide that it isn't what you want it is hell for good trading material.

OK I went back and read the post in the middle. After is all said and done and you have it loaded up, you could hand the guy a gift card to a nice local place around there for dinner (for enough to actually buy dinner for two) and hand it to him when you are done. As a "here, thanks" thing.
