    try this

    #1 firewall first,

#2 tailpan ( for other years it would mean to make the trunk lid fit nice),

#3 then make the doors look good which means fixing 1/4, rocker, front cowl,

then after the outside of the car looks nice ( all the doors and lids have nice gaps) put the floor pans in. why? cause if you got to trim and make something fit do it to the floor and trunk and you wont see the correction.

if you start backwards by doing the floors first and there will be no room for adjustment with out recutting your previous work.

35/6 ford coupe are very sensitive to body alginment you can not put in the tailpan after fixing the trunk floor

and no amount of bracing of the door etc will stop this problem

i would like to see your photos.

I have used EMS panels on my 57 Ranchero and they were really good. Also when you call them they will call you back. Guaranteed! I ordered front and rear 1/4 for my 57 and when they did not arrive in what I thought was a timely fashion I called then and they said they would check and let me know what was happening. This was on a Friday and Monday morning I got a call telling me they should arrive soon while I was talking to them the parts were delivered! Great customer service. Also some people complain about fit and finish of their products I have found them to be very good. If you have to do a little fabrication to make a part fit perhaps you should not be building cars. A hundred percent better than some of the junk out there.

I've got a question about the 36 Ford cowl and quarter panels.

Do they include the wrap around portion that goes in and forms the lower corner of the door jamb?

I've got a 36 flat back tudor sedan that has the bottom six inches just about rotted plum off it.

I need to replace that area of the front and rear door jambs (on both sides) as well as the lower body line and the part of the panel that returns under the car.

Can you help me out here? What features do your replacement panels include?

    Thank you for your time.

2 front & 2 rear floor pans, tranny tunnel, inner & outer rockers, A-pillar/cowl braces, floor pan brace ends . . . '51 Chevy . . . no issues at all, very pleased.

Since I am not Scandinavian, South American, or Canadian, :)D) and do not want to fabricate what I can buy (I am, after all, a US native!) . . . I am thankful for EMS!!

I thought the quality was good. Just not the sizing or shapes. Didn't fit my shoebox worth a hoot with out some major adjustments.

Speaking of that, anyone know of an easy way to get those EMS stickers off! I always have a heck of a time with that!

But EMS can be proud of most of its panels that I have used, when I take a picture of an install, I leave the stickers on there so that when I sell the car, I can say I used EMS panels. I have found it to be a good selling point at times.

For my 57 Fords, I have to make changes to every patch panel I use without exceptions. That does not mean that the panels are not good, they are just not "perfect". I think you, like me, are probably just very picky. Some would say that is a good thing.

our 35/6 cowls and 1/4 do not have the door jambs and are priced much lower than panels that do

    Roger.

Any leads on who does make a panel that includes the door jamb area?

Thanks for your time, either way.

I bought a full set of lower repair panels for a 36 3 window..basically the whole bottom 6 inches of the car both sides and outer tailpan.I was knocked out with the service from EMS...they were helpful and polite and sent my stuff over by air freight....it turned up in about three days of ordering...that is quicker than getting stuff domestically never mind across trhe Atlantic.

At the time of ordering I was asked if I required the inner tailpan...I was over confident in my ability to repair the original and consequently got back on the phone a few weeks later to order the inner pan....the man on the phone said he would get it off to me in the next collection. The next day I was climbing onto a roof to fix an ac unit and my phone went off...it was EMS calling to advise me that it had not got off that day but they had sent it out now...totally amazing service to ring a customer in another country on a mobile phone to let me know my shipment would be a day or so later than they had said...on top of this the parts were great, good thick guage steel and the mouldings lined up perfectly.

I have recommended EMS to lots of people since....good people with a good ethic.

I purchased rocker panels for 49 Ford woody they were the only ones making them and the quality was good. Did you ever start making the inner panel again? I give them credit for coming on here and answering questions - problems. I will buy again from them.
