Hi guys.... First the facts: DustyBarnfinds is a fictional character that came about through a bunch of nights spent benchracing and talking cars. He's sort of the amalgamation of what all of my buddies and I thought we'd turn out to be back in the day. I'm not fictional. I'm a retired-young old fart who's been involved with the car hobby for years, everything from crewing on a couple of Indy 500 winners, to building cars (hot rods, restorations, etc.), to collecting almost anything car related. I've got about 1,500 SF of space filled with old car brochures, photos, collectibles, memorabilia and what some (especially of the female persuasion) might call crap. Since I've got no kids, no wives, and no living relatives, I've invented DustyBarnfinds.com to help me redistribute my stuff to a wider group who will appreciate it more. I'm also a semi-pro photographer, who has has a bunch of his stuff published, including in some car related magazines and websites. You can see some of my work on the website, in the Vintage Tin category (I'm fascinated with junkyards!) My current toy is a 1957 Willys Jeep FC150 stakebed, one of five that were built with the stakebed by the factory. It's a narrow track, dead bone stock unmolested survivor, and i'm the third owner. It's a former Forest Service truck that spent its entire 23,487 miles in Nevada away from rust. I've lurked the HAMB for a few years now, and finally got around to joining up. Thanks for everything I've learned, and for the entertainment. I'm looking forward to participating when I have something cogent to add! I'm in awe of what some of you are capable of building!!
