The worlds largest rockabilly fest is at Oneida bingo and casino next weekend. Who's going? I won't miss it.I went on new years eve and saw the HAMB's very own Shaun Young (krupanut) and his band High Noon and they rocked. He will be back on the 11th along with about 100 more groups.Don't miss these great shows. Dan

I'll be there between the april 13 and 16. I'm from France, I will visit familly in Chicago and this festival is in the same time, so, I will go for 3 days...
Hey Hellfish thanks for the heads up!!!! Mark, you had to rub it in didn't you.NO the truck isn't done yet.I got the cab painted, motor and trans back in and runnin',hopefully paint the front fenders and doors this weekend.JYD is coming down this weekend also to help weld up the box. Empire32 hope to see you there Dan
Sorry Dan..., I didn't know...! You were moving at a pretty good clip New Years day and I though it was on the road...! I can't wait to see it back on the road with the new modifications...!!! And I don't think the Fest is quite sold out as they are still advertising the event very heavily...(?) See ya there...!
Wouldn't miss it... I went to the first one back in '03. The talent lineup was incredible, and I'd guess maybe 20%-30% of the attendees were from overseas - Europe, Asia, even South America. Good car show, too. If it's sold out it still might be worth the trip 'cuz lots of music going on in lounge stage, etc., plus people are milling all over the place. And for all you HAMB Grandmas: NICKEL SLOTS!
DAN! We gotta get together!!! Got stories for you. I'll have the 52, looks real different from last time you saw it. By the way there is ......NO DRINKING ALLOWED!......Huh, yeah right. I heard the casino made more profits off alcohol than gambling!!!
Hey Scallop...Maybe I'll see ya there...I'll drag my bride over there Wed or Thurs nite...I'm the fat guy with "highpockets"...
If you guys and gals have the means, you owe it to yourselves to go to this thing. WHAT A BLAST! It's only $10 for all that music... Lot's of HAMBers last night. LUKESTER twirled me and my skirt flew up. There's people there from all over the world, too. Just a really, really, good time. SCALLOP53 can teach you to ride the rocket... JOE
Joe,I don't know if I can teach anyone, I'm still trying to perfect it and get my nuts out of my *** from the last ride. What a great time!!!! Myself,JYD,and Sparky ran into so many hambers there and it was only Monday nite,we saw:Oilcan,Magnet,Carartnick, and of course Krupanut who's band just rocked the joint.Might be going back up on Friday nite also,I'd like to go everynite but tonite I painted more truck parts and tomorrow I have cubscouts with my son, after that it's time to rock again.Hope to see you all there. Dan
krupanut called me today from the casino and appearantly he's been playing and partying with the Greats...!!!!!!! He sounds all "Stoked Up"..., glad to hear a few HAMB'rs made it up there for his GIG...! Sorry I couldn't make it up there Shaun..., I blew my ****** and I'm ****ing wind finding a suitable replacement...!!!!!! I'll be up there this Friday and possibly Saturday with the "Lienies Red"...!!!!!!!!!
The wife and I had a ball at the Rockabilly Fest last nite....lots of cool outfits (clothes)...although some folks OBVIOUSLY have a slightly different idea of 50's fashion (electric blue spiked mullet?)...A ton of people from overseas obviously thought it was a great idea, too...The Bobbettes (Mr. Lee) were fabulous as were most of the other acts we caught..we may go back Saturday nite...BTW...There's car show on Saturday...
Ronny Dawson tribute is on Saturday and krupanut as well as a bunch of others will be playing his songs...!!! I'm definately going to that...!!!
Hey guys..., I got home this morning from the Friday night show at 6 a.m. and had to be at work at 6 a.m....!!!!!! I'm "Totally G***ed" from the Great time I've had hanging out with krupanut, Sparky, Lukester and his sweetheart, the Cheaters, Carartnick, Magnet and a couple of Lovely Ladies...(Denise and Jill)...!!! That place is "Packed" to the gills and I've found that you should get there early because it's standing room only at many of the venues...! Speaking of standing room..., many that attended couldn't see the bands because "Lukester" was in front of them...!!! So we're going to chop and channel and Bag "Lukester" (affectionately known as "LURCH") and make him stand behind us for once...! Krupanut (Shaun Young Band) played Friday night with the Horton Brothers and then Sean Mencher and Kevin Smith jumped on stage to perform a couple of "High Noon" songs as well as a Ronny Dawson songs. This event features "Camio" appearances from the many Stars that are in attendance and truelly action packed "Wall to Wall" entertainment...! I especially loved Deke's "Doubleneck Trainwreck" where he had a mul***ude of "Doubleneck" guitars on stage and about 30 guitar players doubling and quadrupling up on them for one song...!!! TOTALLY WILD!!!!!!!!!!!!! Unfortunately I'm too Wasted to make it up there for the "Carshow" and the "Ronny Dawson" tribute...! But I truelly was thrilled to see the little I did see last night...!!! Sparky has photo's I hope he can post for us after the carshow....!!!!!!!!
Who else from the HAMB made it to the show...? Mike Zenor what nights did you go to G.B. Rockfest...???
Hey Mark - me and the wifey were only there noon Wednesday- noon Thurs. Sorry we missed ya, but my daughter's best friend had her bat mitvah this weekend. Oy Vey! Hope to see you at the slots...
My wife & I got there Monday afternoon, and just got back home this afternoon. It was a completely amazingly fun event, they did the impossible and made it better than the first one in '02. So many incredible bands, great people, and abundant beer & hot dogs . . . we're totally exhausted, in a good way. Marc Mencher (head organizer) is a RULER. Funniest non-Deke-related moment that I can remember right now: Jeremy Wakefield singing "Tatooed Lady" with the Lucky Stars, and subs***uting "Flaming 8-Ball With A Broken Heart & Betty Boop & Two Pistons Comin' Out Of It" in place of the word "Minnesota". Or something like that. When I grow up, I want to be a Horton Brother.
