Not sure what it is, but I do think my flathead is gonna go in it once the Suburban is rolling. I'd like to find me an old sedan body. ANywho, any ideas on what the rearend and the ch***is are?

Not sure about the first two but the frame looks kind of like the one we took out from under the '52 suburban we did...

  3. The 1st pic of the axle and wide 5 wheels are from an anglia. Not really good for anything, but kind of neat to see.

I had no idea on that first one! As far as the frame, it's definitely not a GM product. Any more ideas?

I had been told it was a Dodge, and the solid axle and conventional leaf front end was leading me to think it was a 50's model. I'm familliar with the GM and Ford stuff, never messed with a Dodge before.

I picked up the Dodge frame. The story was, my grandpa got it from a friend of his thirty some odd years ago. It was a 52 Dodge half ton, with a Buick nailhead motor in it. Apparently, the guy was putting it on a later model frame. Who this was or where that truck is now is unknown. The frame was made into a wagon, the tongue is mounted to a crossmember and then has a drag link to steer it. It has crossbars welded to the top to haul hay bales. It's now at my house, where it'll haul haybales until I get the suburban on the road. Then it'll get my Flathead 6 Ford motor, whatever cab I can come across, and who knows what all else. Might even turn out to be a R** R**!

Thinkin about gettin the sandblaster after that Anglia axle, paintin it up, puttin some tires on it, and makin a couch out of it for the shop...:D

  10. Might as well, figure its not worth anything unless you find someone restoring one, and anything more then a lawnmower engine will ****ter that axle all over the street.
