you and a lot of people around here. always makes me laugh when i post something up on a hot rod website about chopping my car and turning it into a hot rod and half the people say "too nice to chop it man, leave it as is!" this car is getting chopped-and not soon enough. i just want to see if after i do it people will tell me it looks stupid and that i should have left it stock.
damn nice car. yeah always gets me how alot of ppl on this site seem to wanna keep alotta cars stock. i say chop, love the look of those a coupes with a bit of a hair cut. coupes look better done in a 60s show rod style or a early drag car style IMO (if it were a roadster id say keep it as it is, guess thats just how my brain works 'roadster=lakes car, coupe=drag car' but maybe im just strange)
A local guy had a nice 34 5-window ... SBC powered ... not chopped ... looked like a phone booth model T ... gotta chop it ...
IMHO .. Ch***ie first .. Then decide on the chop . Much easier to get things right when you see how the car will sit . Klaz Btw .. Cool car , Have fun
Nice! I really hope my next project is an A coupe. I think the photoshop with the 4 inch chop looks really good.
A 5" or 6" chop with out a channel looks too squashed. Plus not enough visibility for everyday driving and where are you planning to sit? Unless you are 3' tall, there's not that much headroom in an A.
That's my friend Travis taking it for a rip after we pulled the fenders. We're about the same size, around 6' (Well he's more like 6' 4" with his hair-ha) and i realize it will be cramped. I plan to modify the seat and get a different steering wheel to help that situation out some.
