Are stock parts worth anything(heads ,intakes)? Is anyne using a Eddie Meyer intake? If so what heads are you using? Any pics of the motor?
What flathead are you talking about? In general, the stock stuff isn't worth very much. You can always put it on Ebay--just be sure to charge enough for the shipping. --Matt
I'm running an eddie meyer, with edelbrock heads, soon to get some edmunds heads though. I'll try to add a pic. Drew
I am going to be using a '52 engine. I was wondering what I could get out of selling the stuff I know I won't use. Figure I will put it on E bay and see if I can get a bit of my money back. G***erfreak, I am going to have a lot of questions for you. It looks like you did what I was planning. I am doing a T coupe on a A frame. '52 engine with the Cornhusker T5 swap. I want to go the Eddies Meyer intake with after market heads. Why are you swapping to Edmunds? Also what water pumps are you using and what type of frame is yours on? I was planning on getting the Speedway water pumps.
G***erfreak, I think I might be able to get you some Divcos. Do you have a pic of what they look like? How many do you need? Also those window molding you need, If you want to spend the money I think Snyders or Mac's sells them.
With scape steel at an all time high it's probably the most you'd get for them. I see guys trying to sell them at the swap meets loading them back up all the time. I have that stuff under my workbench holding down the floor, works great, plus I don't have to sweep there.
LOL the plan for my stock intake and heads is sandblasting and a fresh coat of paint and then bolt em to the wall.
The frame was custom built by the guy that originally built the car "v8" here on the HAMB astetic's are the only reason I'm switching to the Edmunds, according to edelbrock by the ser.# on them these heads were cast in the 50's but I like the look of the Edmunds better. If you want big HP but an OHV motor if you want the best looking and sounding engine with the most style run a flatty. Just my opinion. Its got a 700r4, but thats soon to be swaped out for a 39 3speed. Its got the regular car water pumps as far as I know. As for the original castoff flathead part fiddyfour's ideas about as good as it get, on ebay the shipping usually cost more than the part. As for my coupe and the Divco's I want my car to look like the hottest **** on the lakebeds circa 1951 and those were the hot **** as far as wheels go. I think that would be the best way to go considering the amount v8 chopped it. Attached is a pic of a car with a set of all four but I really need two and I'll run 16in artillerys up front. They wear a tire size of 18in, and if I remember right are 51/2 or 41/2 inside bead widths and use the 5x5 1/2 bolt pattern I hope you can find them may be we can do a little swaping. Drew
I don't personally know the people at the junk yard but my friend does. I talked to him earlier about it. He said he would call them tomarrow and see if the are the right wheels and if they want to sell. If I remember right they had 2 divcos so I could potentially come up with 8 wheels.
