I went to the show with my friend (another HAMBer) in his 63 Impala, it was a great time, my goal to drive my 51 Merc next year! I took a lot of photos of the details on some of the Mercs there, under the hood stuff.

  2. Looks like a nice show. I had a friend's wedding this weekend, otherwise I'd have gone.

The green merc on greener wire wheels belongs to a local cat with a great merc collection, including a mint woodie. I used to drop by his garage with my 51 back in the nineties and he'd roll his eyes at my sedan ;)

Comet I'm glad your cars are coming to sc, can't wait to see 'em.

I'll try to make this one next year.

Love the color combo. Is this a HAMBERs car?

I had a great time and really enjoyed the show... I don't really care what people like 49ratfink think of my car! When you pay for anything on it, then you can tell me what it should look like. I don't let haters get me down. Great show and I plan to be back next year. Thanks for the photos.

I heard about that wreck today it was a 39 ford sedan, the guys name is Ron Barfield out of Piedmont SC he and his wife were in hospital I hear they will be ok but the car was a total loss. Said he ran up on slow traffic corrected twice and flipped the car the second correction was to keep from hitting his brothers rod who was traveling with him

Good to hear they are doing Ok ....The car can be replaced but they can't!! I just got home from Myrtle Beach what a Great Show the Pee Dee Guys put on..

  15. My brother and I were there all 3 days.
Got there before daylight the first day to hit swap meet. You had to jump when they uncovered their area or unloaded trailer to get best deals.
I was lucky,my brother spotted one just as he got there.I scored a pair of new coilovers with rebound adjustments and a say "why and" weiand tunnel ram from him at very cheap prices.
The shocks were bought for his truck project but he stayed with the leaf springs.
The shocks were too good of a deal to turn down and I just had to have the tunnel ram at the deal he offered. You know how it is.:D
Had a very good time all 3 days and got to see plenty of burnouts on ocean blvd. Some of the cars were running slicks.Wild time.
