The 40 is ready for LSR! I hope?? Or Not!! Updates!!

    Well I have been working on the 40 trying to get it ready for its first trip to the Lone Star Roundup, mine too! Put a new trunk floor in it. New brakes, minor tuning, lots of cleaning, had the dash and garnish painted, I don't paint! Seat belts, hoses, belt and the list goes on...... Still have a few things left but I think its close. The 8 plus hour trip should show me if what I did came together:rolleyes: Took a couple of new pics tonight. Wish me luck on the long maiden voyage!!

    Toast best of luck and have a great time. If your car drives half as good at it looks you'll get there and back no problem. Vroom Vroom man, have some good mexican food for me!!!

    Man thats a sweet '40, good luck on the trip. Take LOTS of tools, that way you'll never need them.

    Thanks Jeffery, its a little rough in places and the flathead is a little weak, but with a little luck it should make it.;) Mexican food, yes......I will

    Just love those 40 Coupes. Mine was a Washington Blue Standard Coupe, originally that awful pea green color, with a 350 buckled up to the original drivetrain. Drove it daily with 3 gaps in 2 years for new transmissions. Loved the 3.27:1 rear gear set.

    Good luck and have fun. It's a 24 hour drive for me, but its not in the cards this year, but I'll get there someday!

    I would give away my tallest child to have a 40 some day! It looks great, have a safe trip and enjoy your first LSR.
