Hi to all, been a while.the 39s comming on great.Had a bit of bad luck in the Earth Quake when the finished 318 poly fell over and snapped rocker shaft supports on both sides, real gutted.Have sourced a couple of doners though.Anyway back to what I would like to ask,has anyone out there tudorised a 39 4door fast back?Considering it for ours.Thoughts or comments?.I would like 39 tudor Dodge/plymouth door widths, and quater window length from center radius to vertical to do some mocking up.And some good pics of one, doesn,t seem to be much on the net. Thanks and hava good one.
If you ask these guys on the HAMB to photo chop your car they usually can help you out but you need to post a good side view photo of the car. Or if you arnt too good on this computer thing you could take a photo your self and cut it down to see what happens when you alter the shape of the body.Good luck,or should I say better luck since the ground stopped shaking under your feet.
found a pic of a 39 4 door on the web and Photochopped it to a 2 door for you. I moved the center door post back about 10 inches and lengthened the door the same. I made the quarter window longer to fit to the post and filled in the sheet metal from there. It took me about 1/2 an hour, I think it might take longer to do in steel
I think it would look great but if you were serious about it I think you'd want to have a 2 door sedan donor car to get the doors and door jamb/rear window regulator sections out of. The best 2 door conversions I've seen are the ones that use factory doors and not stretched fronts and filled rears, although that can be done if you've got patience and skills.
Wow, what a hot look. Love the fast back and all the great body lines, ribs and extras MoPar put in those cars. Sorry to hear the poly went boom, hope it is repairable. Good luck with the project. ~sololobo~
