I am using a clay bar to remove over spray and other contaminates.. I was wondering if by using it in the palm of my hand is Best

Or use a holder or homemade holder would be better.. I just do not want it to slip out of my hand Thanks for the info..

Just in your hand is fine. Stu

  3. I used it a couple of years ago on my Plymouth Prowler (silver) and it worked great. I just used as recommended, you have to keep rotating the clay around as it gets dirty. Use plenty of the spray that comes with it and whatever you do DON'T DROP IT ON THE FLOOR and then try to reuse it.
There is no holder for it (that I know of), just your hands, since you have to keep rotating or folding the clay all the time.
Great working stuff if used correctly.:D

Go to Griot's Garage and check out their clay bar holder. Tons of great stuff they have :D

I love claybars. Used them on all my cars two black one grey/silver. I do not use a holder as I like to feel the clay bar as I am using it and it is a pain to keep taking it out of the holder to see how and if it is gritty or dirty. Best advice though either way turn, fold, squish often and keep the paint lubed up. I just use a little baby shampoo and water in a spray bottle. You gonna have to rewax after clay anyway.
