Small block Chevs were pretty thin on the ground to Mic. Off the top of my head:

    Several carbed flat heads
    2 blown flat heads
    1 Y block
    1 Cadillac
    1 Nailhead
    1 4 banger
    1 SBF
    1 SBC
    1 BBC

Great mix of cars and engines.

Thanks for the fantastic photos fellas.

    Pete

Sweet Rides. I bet the towns you drove threw loved seeing them. Awesome

  12. Mainly cruised backroads with only a few small towns, but the town of Heathcote where we stopped and refuelled really new we were there.

Excellent batch of cars, and really good photos.

This is exactly what hot rods are for, driving. Even better with other hot rods.

I can't wait for the couple of runs I put on later this year.

You guys nailed it, in every sense.

    good on ya.

    Cheers

Great photos of a great day out. Sure was kept quiet as not many knew about it even a few that offered to help. I hope you have more of these as they sure look like a lot of fun was had by all that attended.

Had a great day out in the country...was super stressed about how the Coupe would go as i hadn't driven it anywhere further than around the block...the 4 banger charged!!!...then didn't...but still made it too the farm.

The weather was perfect, the drive was beautiful, the hot rods were real and the company was even better.

Thanks everyone for throwing in $ for food & drink...all worked out right on even!

  16. I think you guys made the servo owners day!

I actually ran into someone at Heathcote that was checking out the cars that I haven't seen in about 20 years.

Gotta thank Dave Staig for picking the route & the great finish location. Driving thru some of that country out there is magic.

Some of those corners sure came up fast though, didn't they Peddro?

  18. my mum ran a shop right at the end of the block of buildings that the heathcote bakery is in when i was a kid. the vacant block next to them used to be the mechanic. we'd fill up at the shell there all the time. as much as i miss parts of central victoria -like the run heathcote to kyenton- i sure dont miss heathcote! i cant say its all bad, that town is where the old tin bug first bit me when we bought a property with some neat old stuff on it, mostly a 50 ford, just over the hills behind the shell actually

I must be dreaming. Australian rod run without any 'bling rods' or 'street rods'........there truly must be a God. Great stuff.
