I love this car, and this photo of it

  12. I beleive that shoebox is now in Japan. It used to belong to Steve Sellers, who was a member of the HAMB, but is currently "banned" according to his profile page.

D'oh. I forgot to go look last night. I got home around midnight from school but I just got home a little earlier than usual and am looking it up. It's in TRJ #47 on page 146 and this says it's in TRJ #14 if you want the entire story. Sweet machine for sure.

And 29BowTie is right, it's Steve Seller's who is based in San Jose, CA. According to TRJ, they believe that the Shoebox is in Japan, so 29BowTie is right again as well.

Yes it is in japan but it does not look anything like the picture with the flamethrowers lit. It has been completely redone & is now flat black. It was a car with personality & soul but now that is all gone. It sucks to see what it has now become. Check this thread for more info & pictures of it as it is now:

Here is a picture of a 34 coupe hot rod sitting in a barnyard in Southern Michigan. I took the picture in 1976. After going there several times with no luck finding anyone at home, I finally gave up. 30 plus years later I bought the same car at a garage sale for $4000. What are the chances of that?

    That really sucks!!

Trying to be on a more positive note.. I can see this is the beginning of its future and hopefully in the end, it will ultimately be restored to what it once was. We all enjoy those stories of people buying cars, discovering the car's historical significance and deciding to restore said car back to their former glory. I can't wait for my kids to be reading the thread; "Seller's Shoebox Found!! Restoration has started!!" on the HAMB a couple decades into the future.

If I'm extremely lucky, I'll be the guy restoring it along with his kids. :D

These are Full Sized! Limestone Carvings of Famous Indy and Dirt Track Racing Machines From Back in the Day.
They were sitting outside of the Auto and Race Car Museum located in the Stone City Mall, Bedford, Indiana.

Novi racer which used to scare lots of people at Indy because it was loud and obnoxious and difficult to drive

1949 Novi Crash, the novi was said to be jinxed and never won at indy. It seemed to break or crash at will.
