Just wondering if people are planning on entering their cars in the Motorama section or in the general show? With the new location and management this show should be refreshing and different.

oops my bad. No idea on whether owners are driving their own cars in or not. I guess you would have to contact the show promoter..Im not involved with the show- just was curious if anyone was going to be a part of it again this year.:)

Dana is putting her car in the Motorama room..(she is so excited)

Yeah... I'm not entering this year. I just know people were concerned about a possible new rule saying establishment would be the only ones driving the cars in and would also not be liable for any damage. Nice car btw!

that 'rule' was a union thing that had been menioned but I know Ive had my own car in that same building for another event and I drove it in myself. So I cant imaging they are doing that for the World of Wheels-it would take forever and I know I wont let anyone drive my car but me.

And thanks for liking Dana's car- not my work but she likes it.

  7. Hmmm...new venue huh?
I wonder how I'm getting in on set-up night.

Well when I signed up for my vendor spot I was told EVERYONE who is part of my team has to have a p***- including for move in-- we get two per vehicle and then the ones that come with the vendor spot- depending on how much space you take. Thats what I was told.

Never put a car in a show like that. Is it fun or just a pain in the ****?

Rick said here are a ton of high quality rides this year too. Cant wait to see whats there. They dropped the price too to get in and the parkling lot is cheaper too I guess. Good thing for us vendors as we have to pay to park all weekend for you to see our stuff.
Stop by our booth and say hi.Ill be able to be there now. No more staff work. I like that.

Lenny, any update on the show after day 1. I heard it was really small and had a lot of trailer queens and tuner imports. I was planning on going Sunday morning but not if its a toyota fest. Thanks Chuck

the show is smaller than in years past because the **** vendors arent there- there are many more quality vehicles this year than Ive seen and a good mix of cars . They also have a motorcycle room with some great looking bikes.

There are a few less traditional rides than in years p***ed but since no one offered up there cars to be in the show-what can you do? You cant MAKE someone participate in the show.

I for one am very happy with the event- much better than the ****py Bayside of years p***ed. Now its a REAL indoor show with stuff worth seeing and I had some great traffic to my own booth yesterday. Looks like changing the venue also helped with the clientele too. Rick Finamore did a great job.

just got back from the show. After last years show, I was extremeley disssapointed. traffic and parking at the new venue were worse than at the bayside. the overall quality of the cars shown was pretty high. all and all, 15$ (x2) + $12 parking= $42 for an hours entertainment!. probibly won't attend next year. just my humble opinion.

Well then thats it your loss. The rate for the show went DOWN from last year (It was $17) as did the parking lot fees (which were $15 ). If you stayed for an hour you probably dont stay much longer at other events either. Some of the enjoyment of this event is to see your pals that you havent been around and hang around and chat.At least thats what most of my pals all do.

The model car guys werent able to get in this year due to so many cars wanting to be there and I guess they are coming back in 2012.
Not being staff this year and being able to look from the outside in , the show was a daunting task moving it away from the riffy raff way it had been run for so long and bringing it back to a true ISCA event. I give Rick Finamore a hell of a lot of credit to take that task on- I like the fact that the **** isnt there anymore.

The years of the 78 pickup truck with a lame ***ed paint job are gone - and having the vendors who sell stuff that was popular in 1980 arent there anymore either- I like that. .

Things Im not crazy about- the food is expensive in the place but next door there are two great pubs that have good burgers for around$10-15 that are huge. I like being next to be 7/11 to grab a munchie if I want. I like the venue to be able to chat with real potential clients this year- moving it from Dorchester took away the visitors who would have just gone to a movie if the WOW wasnt there that weekend (which would have costyou more than $42 if you went with two people) As a paying vendor, its a better use of my time. as a participant, I dont have to worry about someones kid bashing my car in with his toy hockey stick or the chain around my car!

Its 2011- it was about time.Hats off to the 2011 World of Wheels staff.
