It has been a good weekend so far here on the Plains of Kansas. Today (Saturday) my pal sodas38 from the Hamb (Scott) drove up from Wichita so we could do some trading. He LOVES to trade. He seemed happy with his new dis***embled HEMI engine and other parts, and I am happy with my new 292 Y block and 283 SBC engines. Then Scott took a spin on one of my motorbikes. I had to take his picture on it just for fun. He is the 2nd Hamber I ever met with the first being BenD back before I knew what a message board was. Anyway, we exchanged our heavy iron and had a good visit.
We met up at the PF "annex" in Salina and used my old trusty forklift to handle all the heavy stuff. Here is a photo of what he got from me.
ugh, I need those exhaust manifolds and that carb! Nice when stuff works out, what kind of moto is that?? Board track racer?? Nevermind, I just enlarged that photo..you got me with a repop!! is that a briggs and stratton??? Cool!
What flavor of Hemi is that? And who belongs to that '57? Pretty car. I love a trade deal too, I always try to stay open to that.
The hemi is a 331 industrial. The 57 belongs to my wife. We bought it from the Hamb cl***ifieds a few years ago. Cruise night car. Thanks for the compliments.
Great to see you again Paul, always a pleasure! I am new to the hemi world so the research begins for me. We made it back in one piece and I didn't end up with anymore floor space somehow. Oh well what you gonna do.
Nice tradin Pov, the 57 spot sedan is lookin great as always. 292 engine huh! Oops my fFord jones is showing. ~sololobo~
Cool motorcycle-I'd like to know more about that and see pics. Bike frame adapted to HD rims, engine?????
A meeting of great minds here Scott your eatin to good, since the last time I saw ya. I'm glad to see you kept Paul in line this weekend. Paul, tell me you charged him for his ride, cool bike guys.
I have ridden in that nice old 57 of Mrs. PF's. I just wish PF would let her sell it to me. She could multiply the proceeds many times at the Casino!
Bigwop--you are just gonna have to settle for that green motorized bike you got from me. As the late Freddy Mercury of "Queen" once said in his song "Fat Bottom Girls" ---- "get on your bike and ride!!!!"
