Sunday Models 3/27/2011

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by DakotaJohn, Mar 27, 2011.

  1. I guess I will start the Sunday Model Thread with this one, The Revell Offy Kurtis Kraft Midget, I bought this with the intent of using the Offy in a Track-T but found the kit to nice not to build, and I had just built a truck that would make a good tow vehicle.

After seeing Tinman's post, I thought you might be interested in this. These are Track T style grills hammered out of typical kitchen spoons.

lots of great stuff this week, guys! I'm studying the many rag tops this week since the model I finally decided to start back into static modeling with is going to be a hard top converted into a homemade rag top.

    Keep 'em coming!

    Lots of kool stuff today.

I went to a toy show today and picked up some old built ups that I just thought I had to have. Picked up some 66/67 Fairlane drag cars too.

[IMG] I finally got around to finishing a stalled project that has been sitting on my bench for a year. One of my favorite subjects are the low dollar drag cars from the sixties. This is would have run in the D/A class.

[IMG] I used a T body and turtle deck from my dwindling supply of Revell Parts Packs. The chassis is home made using Evergreen plastic with a Revell front axle assembly. I forget what AMT kit the engine is from but I modified the manifold for three dueces, and added fuel lines and wiring.

[IMG] Typical safety equipment in the sixties were supplied from Army surplus store. I found the safety belts in the parts box, painted them olive green.
