update coming soon. i have pictures to post. guy was awsome although his cousin in PA owns it. It was chopped up and turned into a doodlebug so it's not what i was hoping it would be. The owner in PA is going to be calling us about it so if anyone wants parts off of it i could probably get them for you. the car has had stuff stolen off of it. good news is the guy gave us a lead to a friend of his who has bunches of what i'm dreaming for. :) :)

Farmergal, congrats on being a cool enough chick and adventurous enough to persure a woods find. Don't worry about some of these pansy ***es that think that if they didn't find it that it must not exist. Just a bunch of bitter dudes.

Even though it's not a Ford that's a pretty cool find! You've got good eyes. I don't know how you saw that it's pretty blended into the scenery. Any time you want to go scoutin for tin I'll drive!

Thanks everyone. When i spotted it off the road you get the head-on version so it really looks like an old roadster parked out there. The guy turned out to be really nice and thought we were great. He took our business card and he's going to call his cousin in PA and give him our number. Its a great little doodlebug and i personally am in love with it; even if its not an old ford...that thing has cl***. The frame is pretty solid...i was surprised. The cowl is pretty decent despite some rust-away underneath. The grill shell is rotted off and just hanging there. If he calls us; i'm taking dibs on the old grill shell as a wall ornament :). We wanted the wheels for our car but they too are rotted away. Its about 500-600 feet off the road and i couldn't even find it when we drove by again today haha. As tempting as it is to just stroll on out there...there is a barbed wire fence there for a reason and its best to keep everyone happy and not ruin our chances by being jack***es. in the end; we met a really nice guy and had free dibs to go check the old dodge out. We also found a really neat gracestone out there in the woods with it. Vandals had already gotten to the dodge. they took the radiator, the head, and all of the pistons. would be a neat peice to sand down and flat-coat it with some paint and stick in the yard.

i have a bunch more photos from the day today too i will have to post on here. got to venture into a huge vintage truck and car graveyard that actually had a deuce in it but it too was doodlebugged. it could be saveable though! Also got to photograph my neighbors deceased husband's once daily driver straight-eight. was pretty stoked about that. it is now slowly turning back to dirt. i too asked for permission to do that and she was more than happy to let me photograph. As a thanks i'll be professionally printing some off to let her have for keepsakes.

thanks everyone for your encouraging words. it was a fun day today and we enjoyed getting to talk "old cars" with everyone. we were pretty happy to see the old dodge. even if it was now a doodlebug...it was a beautiful thing to stare at

i thought about buying it to sell to a rodder but not sure many folks would be interested in it since it is pretty rotted. The dodge wheels are rotted away beyond use. they dont look it but, but trust, they are. we wanted them to use them. :)

Yes, that is a registered Jersey. her name is Rosalie :)

    I'm sorry...but i'm a little lost. whaaaat??

Yes i did find a gem but i'm not sure i learned very much. If i learned anything, i learned to persue things if i'm interested and to do it the right way.

I'm pretty sure your use of "b.S." in your original post had very little to do with your above listings of "terms". you and i both know that. Actually a doodlebug in our neck of the woods has nothing to do with a conversion from tractor to hot rod. There is no part of that dodge that is tractor. a doodlebug is the conversion of a car/truck into a useable peice of woods or farm equipment by using various parts and peices to do so.

Farmer's daughter? nope...i'm actually not. I'm a self-grown type of farmer who grew up in barns but developed my love of animals into farming. yes there are many stories and music about my type but i will inform you that i'm not some peice of whitetrash running around in daisy dukes :). Hardworking, works with my hands, determined, proud, dedicated, and doesnt put up with any "BS" pretty much sums me up. :)
