inline 6 question

    Casting number is 473483 GM 7. What size motor is this? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    inliners international used to have a # list might try there if no luck here. what i have found is lots of times different size inlines share casting #'s so it's no always cut and dry to look up, but it never hurts. good luck in finding your answer.

    I've got a Chevrolet master parts catalog that goes back to the first sixes (1929), and I don't see any casting number like that.

    Thanks for both of your responses. I've searched everywhere online only to find other people looking for answers to the same question. There are several #'s on the head, will those tell me anything?

    Maybe it was off a farm implement, boat or industrial. Not sure how they numbered those.

    54pumpjack, thanks for telling me its a 250. I'm curious what site you found that on though. I've searched at least 15 sites with no definitive answers. heathen looked at his Chevy master parts catalog and also didn't find anything. Just curious where you found it.
