I have sbf 302 with a front sump oil pan. I need a rear sump oil pan. Do I have to change the oil pump/pick up tube?

You will need to use the pickup for the pan you need and you will need one main bolt that has a short, smaller diameter threaded stud,to hold the pickup, pumps are the same. Most trucks with a 289-302 will have a rear sump pan, later cars had a double hump pan.You will also need to get the dipstick and tube that goes in the drivers side of the pan.Front sump pans had the dip stick in the timing cover and later double humps had the dipstick in the block.Be careful in your search,351Ws use a different pan.
