    Hello H.A.M.B.'ers,
Glad to find a place where i feel comfortable (finally), so many groups out there dedicated to only one brand of car, one age group, one income level or one level of "bling"... I just about lost hope!

I'm an artist from Kansas, and I see a few more "central-plains" folks in here too... nice to see ya. I hope to get my 100 posts in a.s.a.p. so the moderator will let me tell you about what I do for a living in the "services" boards, but until then if you'd like to see my work, click on my profile and hit my website from there... there's a few cars for sale there also.

I've been involved with cars almost my whole life, my dad was one of the early drag-racers when it was in it's heyday, late 50's early 60's... and I've been banging on vehicles ever since I could hold a rubber mallet and an open-end wrench.

My latest find is a 1962 Galaxie 500 2 dr. sedan... and yes, it's going suede. I think my first attraction to the car is that it is exactly as old as I am, haa. Probably rattle-can it myself for now, but it will get a better coat when I can afford to. Thunderbird 390 purrs like a kitten, well... a kitten with cherry bombs up her azz. First step is to drop the gas-tank and re-seal it... getting alot of rustdust up front, gonna have to re-plumb it too. Good thing the weather is getting nice, and my shade-tree is leafing out for me.

Well, glad to find the group, hope i can contribute as well as ****le from your combined extensive knowledge... eeww, that didn't sound right.
    :D Later group!

Hi and welcome to the Board!

Always good to see another Kansan here. I'm located about 2 hours due east in Chapman. Mostly a racing background but 'Rods fit right in too!

I've included a photo of a newly acquired car to be used for Museum promotionals/parades and driver training. It needs new "artwork". I can't stand those hideous vinyl decals from the car's previous owner!!

    Regards,
