seats?

    these bucket seats are in the 51 IH i just brought home and was wandering what they are out of.

    That was my thought. They are pretty comfortable on road trips if they are in good shape.

    I think that upholstery is the style Pointiac or Olds used in the early and mid sixties. Maybe earlier as this ebay item. 170620249354

    They are either Chev, Buick, Olds or Pointiac though. I think the seat frames were the same but the covers were individual to the brand and models.

    Corvair used these seats as well. The bigger cars had a chrome band that went all the way over the top of the seats to the other side, these are from an A-body or a Corvair judging by the trim.

    GM used that style in Corvairs up until 66, then they went to a smaller Camaro style seat.

    Yes, they are pre-66 GM seats. The two piece chrome I believe was 64-65 only. Before that, it wrapped over the top of the back. I'm remembering my old mans 63 409 Impala had the wrap-over chrome trim.....

    thanx for the info guys, over all the seats are in great shape but for some uknown reason i dont like bucket seats in a truck. so they will be pulled and sold
