I'm not in the habit of naming cars but as I was spraying this all I could think of was Mr Yuk These pics are for Fatabone (his car). He conveniantly got sick before I started sanding this and wasn't able to help (poor him!!) He's still sick and can't come see the car. Clark
The pics don't do it justice. The color changes from a gold to a lime green. It's got a flattened clear on it. Clark
I had looked at a similar color for my A but it was a little too much for me. especially cause i wanted it shinny.
Sounds like House of Kolor Planet Shimrin Green with Kandy lime Gold on top! I painted a Surfjet that color, looks rad!
Clark...the car looks incredible your doing a great job. Hopefully I can make it over to see it this weekend but I think putting it together is out of the question. I'll see if I can send my *****es to help this weekend or I'll be over next week. Again great job I love it!
Holy ****.... That's a totally different car than the one that I drove man.... I need to see that thing up close.... It shines like an L.A. *****'s dress at sunset....
Lime gold is one of my favorite "kustom" colors. It was the RAGE in the custom car circuit in the early 60s. It's a color that can look terrible on many things but can really make others look wild. I think you nailed it. It's best reserved for that "special boy" who really wants a SHOW CAR. Kia, of all things, offered a color very similar to lime gold on some recent models. PS: Mr. Yuk was was created in 1973.
Plowboy....the roof was filled when he got the car. Haring....I have been back and forth with the color. I've wanted to use it for a while now but it does take the right car for it to look right. Fatabone is a brave soul. He wanted it from the get go. This color is actually off of a new Honda. Denise...this is the first of three I hope to have ready for the Showdown. Dirty Little Princess...I think I need a restraining order for you! Clark
